I asked my boyfriend to take a look and this is what he said:
(I said I didn't think it was a virus and asked his opinion of your screen capture)
Hmmm... I don't know McAfee VirusScan, so it might be normal that it says
"Files Detected: 0" at the top, then lists a detected file below, but it
does look a bit strange.
Anyway, The explorer.exe file is not normally found in the c:\program files
directory, it should be in the windows directory. I'd check first if there
is a copy of explorer.exe in the windows directory. If there is, it looks
like the copy in program files has to go. Now, McAfee says that file can't
be quarantined or deleted, so the first thing I'd try is restarting in "safe
mode" and running the virus scan from there.
In fact, whether there are 2 explorer.exe files or not, doing a full virus
scan in safe mode is probably the best place to start.
If none of that makes sense to you it might be worth putting a post in one of the DA forums, from what I have seen people are fairly helpful there. Otherwise there is a nice guy called tecwzrd [link] who might be able to help.
yeah
explorer file is not supposed to be in program file!
I find this bug/worm/virus copy the name of appilacation that Virus Scan cannot delete ...
I guess so
the evilness of it all .. i am shocked! I had a virus that wouldnt go either.. so i had to get my uncle to like.. rewind my computer.. it's gone back to how it was 4 months ago.. all the programs i got since then are gone.. and so is the virus.. i dunno how he did it.. but maybe you should try and do it hunni ^_^
